Nature holds a unique healing energy, and you've undoubtedly felt its magic yourself. The deep calm it brings, the peace that soothes your nervous system as you walk through a forest or stand by the ocean—it's a transformative experience. It restores your energy, reduces stress, clears your mind, and sharpens your intuition. It allows you to reconnect with yourself on a deeper, more meaningful level.
Countless studies have shown the positive, holistic effects nature has on your physical, mental, and emotional health. While there may not be scientific research on how nature heals the soul, I truly believe it nourishes you on that level, too.
But in the whirlwind of daily life, it’s easy to lose sight of the truth of how nature enhances your wellbeing. You get swept up in the demands of your busy lives, forgetting your vital connection to nature—and to yourselves. So, what do you do when you can’t access nature every day? When your days are filled with responsibilities, family care, and the daily grind, how do you bring nature closer to you?
Bringing Nature Into Your Life
Here are three quick and powerful ways to reconnect with nature when you’re busy:
- Create a Nature-Inspired Home
Nature-inspired interiors help create a peaceful, grounding environment in your home, supporting your well-being and emotional health, impacting positively your mood and nervous system. To start creating a nature inspired-home, you don’t need to follow strict Feng shui rules, but rather, I encourage you to listen to your intuition.
As a Conscious Interior Designer, who looks at homes from a deeper perspective, I always incorporate the elements of nature into the spaces I design. These elements—earth, wind, fire, water, metal, and ether—each hold their unique energy.
I always make sure that each of the spaces I decorate has natural materials like wood and stones. With textiles, I like to use organic cotton, linen and wool. I also love to decorate with indoor plants, as they are well known to reduce stress and improve your well-being, and some purify the air in your home.

2-Minute Meditation for Busy Women
As an Inner Alignment Healer (www.essikoskilammi.com), I love connecting with nature via meditation. You can do that too—all you need is to make space for a few minutes of stillness. Here’s a quick meditation for you that can be done for example during your work commute or before falling asleep. Nature meditation is one of the simplest ways to ground yourself and feel connected to the Earth.
Close your eyes, and picture yourself in your favorite spot in nature. Visualize your feet grounded to the Earth, feeling the earth beneath you. Imagine the wind gently touching your skin, hear the sound of birds in the trees, and smell the freshness of the air around you.
As you breathe in deeply, take two short inhales through your nose followed by a long, cleansing exhale through your mouth. Repeat this for a few rounds, feeling your connection to the Earth deepens.
When you’re ready, thank Mother Earth and slowly open your eyes.
- Work with Mother Earth
Working with Mother Earth means honoring her and understanding that when you take care of the planet, you are also taking care of yourself. There are many simple ways you can contribute to healing the Earth: recycling, choosing organic foods, supporting eco-friendly and sustainable products, buying second-hand, and respecting the plants, animals, and natural world around you. You can also engage in energy healing practices, sending love and light to the planet.
A Channeled message for you: You And Nature Are Connected
When you look at nature, you see how everything is in perfect harmony. The colors, trees, plants, animals, insects, etc.—all living together, playing their part. Nature’s harmony is present in every season—winter, spring, summer, and autumn. Each cycle is connected to the rhythm of life. There is no resistance to change—it’s simply the way life flows.
And you are part of it all.
You are nature.
You belong to it.
You are an integral part of this harmonious orchestra, playing your unique melody.
When you begin to connect with the energy of Mother Earth, you start opening to the feminine aspects of yourselves. She is the part of you that nourishes, and takes care of you. You can always trust her. The more you align with her, the more connected you become to yourself.
When you open yourself to nature, you’re opening to deeper self-connection.
When you reject nature, you reject yourself.
When you heal nature, you heal yourself.
When you love nature, you love yourself.
Heal with me for a sec.
So, which of these practices will you begin today to reconnect with nature?

Each of these practices will help you align with nature and, in turn, reconnect with your true self.
